Sustainability
As one of the core values of Tolstedt Architects we promote sustainable practices. With awareness and support for the “green” movement worldwide our approach to the stewardship of the planet is of primary concern for the future. The transition process to harmonious lifestyles is underway and will dictate the choices we make today to ensure a better tomorrow. Our commitment to the LEED certification program as a measuring tool in the present, will be outpaced by ongoing research and development in both technical, design and demographic disciplines.
We look at design from a micro and macro perspective to integrate design into local, regional and social context. Our goal is concurrent with respect to the environment and social concern, with designs which respond to local and regional resources, existing context and archetype and expected social and lifestyle trends. Beyond this finite scope we look at sustainability from an individual perspective to both enhance and stimulate the physical senses, along with the intuitive and intrinsic experience. We strive for creating built environments with enduring qualities responding to all aspects of interactive experience.
Our commitment extends to the future development of Tolstedt Architects as a carbon neutral and sustainable company. Through continuing education, research and innovation, our approach to design and interaction with our clients will reflect a responsible interest.
